Air Vice Marshal Saliu Atawodi posted 69 nett to emerge the overall winner of the 9th edition of the JK Gadzama Golf Tournament which took place at the IBB International Golf and Country club, Abuja on Saturday.
Atawodi, who played with handicap 17, defeated close rival E.Iloghalu on the count back to claim the 18- hole title while competing in a field comprising of 180 golfers.
Iloghalu, had a consolation of emerging the men division 3 Best Nett after posting 69 nett ahead of S.U Ahmadu (70) and A.O Ugochukwu (71).
Fei Shen carded 72 nett to wrap up Division 2 honour, while Adebanjo Adeleke submitted 71 to emerge the Division 1 Best Nett winner.
On the basis of the performance, Adeleke, who teed off as an 11 handicapper, has now been given a new handicap of 10.

however stressed that, “The persistence of JK Gadzama SAN that judges and lawyers generally must play golf to maintain sound intellect and health must be commended. It was also the groundwork for Bar and Bench Golf tournament, “Justice Bello said.
Gadzama informed that the 10th edition of the competition which would be played in April 8, 2017 would be played as a charity event to raise and donate money for charity cause.
