Hull City of England striker, Sony Aluko has attributed the country recent football woes which has seen the Nation failing to qualify for two consecutive Africa cup of Nations to incessant changes of coaches by the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation.
Speaking on Channels television sports show Tuesday morning, Aluko advised that coaches should be allowed to stay more on the job to gather enough experience needed to achieve at that level. “They should be allowed to be more on the job for several competitions. This will allow for stability and needed experience,”
Sony Aluko also disagreed with the notion that Nigeria faliure to qualify for the two Nations cup was due to lack of football talents in the country saying that the Nation is blessed with abundant talents plying their trade in top clubs in Europe. Aluko maintained that those saddled with the responsibility of running the Nations football should be able to identify the reason why Nigeria is not qualifying.
“I want to say again that our non qualification is not due to lack football talents. We have so much talents playing in most of the top clubs in Europe. So, it is an irony that we are not getting the results on the pitch. This what those running our football should bother about,”
Reacting to the news that has retired from the Super Eagles team, Aluko stressed that he can never retire from the Super Eagles saying that he will always honor invitation whenever he is called upon.
