The Nigeria Referee Association, NRA has charged women referee in Nigeria to endeavour to up their game in the task of officiating football matches.
NRA deputy National Training officer, Adebisi Jumoke who facilitated a FIFA MA courses for Elite referees, Referee Assessors Physical fitness trainers, and none FIFA women referees and assistants expressed confidence that the future is very bright for Nigeria women referee.
She however urged them to brace up to the new challenge as a lot will now be expected of them after undergoing the FIFA MA course.
“The fact is that this course will help the women referees in Nigeria to be up to date with the act of refereeing and it help to prepare them for greater assignment. But, they also need to up and doing if they are to get to the top of the ladder in this business,” she said.
She also urged most of the retired and elderly women referees in the country to continue to be good role models for the younger once as they grow in the ranks of the whistling business.
Eight elite women referees and 35 Non-FIFA women referees took Part at the MA Course.
